Korman Dental processes patient personal and health data in accordance with GDPR (EU) 2016/679 and applicable healthcare-services legislation. This page summarises what data we collect, why, for how long we keep it, and what rights you have.
What data we process
Identification and contact details (name, email, phone, address), insurance information, appointment and treatment history, messages from the patient chat, notification preferences, and clinical records (examinations, treatment plans, X-rays and photos) maintained by your treating doctor.
Purpose and legal basis
We process this data to provide dental care, maintain clinical records as required by law, schedule and remind you of appointments, and communicate with you. The legal basis is performance of the healthcare contract and our legal obligation to maintain medical records.
Retention period
Clinical records are retained for the period required by healthcare record-keeping legislation (typically 10 years or more from the last entry). Other identification data is kept for the duration of the patient relationship, or until a deletion request is processed as described below.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, and export your data in a portable, machine-readable format, and to request deletion of personal data that is not subject to a statutory retention obligation. You can request an export or deletion directly from the patient cabinet under Profile, or by contacting the clinic by email.
Security
Data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure (Firebase/Google Cloud) with role-based access control and encryption in transit and at rest.
